Not everyone who gets into weeklyworkout plan succeeds. Among the many reasons why people fail at it include the lack of motivation, support, and the right guide to make it through their weekly workout plan. If you find yourself struggling into your fitness regimen, then here are some tips to help you make the most of your weekly workout plan:

1.       Limit your workout to 30-40 minutes in a day
One of the most common misconceptions of people when training out is that they have to prolong their workout to make the most of it. This isn’t true. If you go beyond 40 minutes, you tend to slow down and thus you settle for low-intensity workouts. If you want to make the most of your workout plan, you better stick to shorter yet higher intensity fitness plans.

2.       Hydrate
Many people don’t see the importance of hydration and the success of one’s workout plan. By keeping yourself well-hydrated, you keep yourself energized and thus, the maintenance of high intensity workouts. Do not just drink water before the workout; keep yourself hydrated all throughout the program.

3.       Get into slow lifting
By slowly lifting and lowering weights for 5 seconds for every direction, you maximize the benefits of strength training. Avoid the pitfall many people are committing which is contracting the muscles slowly and releasing them very quickly.

4.       Incorporate compound exercises
Unless you have the luxury of time to tone every muscle group, incorporating compound exercises in your weekly regimen could do wonders. These compound exercises are physical activities that strengthen and hone different muscle groups instead of just one. Examples of compound exercises include squats, deadlifts, lunges, push-ups, bench presses, pull-ups, and many more.

5.       Try balance lifting
In order to have a stronger overall body, opt for balance lifting. Try exercises that allow you to balance standing up or on one leg. This type of exercise strengthens your core muscles.

6.       Choose cardio activities that you enjoy
One of the hardest parts of keeping up with a workout plan is maintaining your motivation. Thus, it’s important to opt for cardio activities that you enjoy – be it swimming, biking, or ball activities. If you love what you’re doing, it’s easier for you to stay motivated.

7.       Mix them up
Whether it’s cardio or strength training, do not stick to the same type of workout routine for so long. It could get your body adjust to the workout’s stress level. When this happens, your workout won’t be effective. So, try to mix your workout routines every week.

These are just some of the ways on how you can make the most of your weekly workout plan. Try a tip or two each week and see the difference these make.
